Preserving Redwood Forests Since 1900
Our Mission
Sempervirens Fund protects and permanently preserves redwood ( Sequoia sempervirens) forests, wildlife habitat, watersheds, and other important natural features of California’s Santa Cruz Mountains, and encourages people to appreciate and enjoy this environment.
Our Vision
We envision a permanently protected, forested, collaboratively managed, continuous ecosystem covering the Santa Cruz Mountains of California, with extensive trails, picnic and camp sites, landscapes, and scenic vistas. To make that vision a reality, we cooperate with other land conservation organizations and public agencies to make strategic land purchases that create, expand, and link together local redwood forests and parks.
