Sempervirens Fund and Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) have entered into a contract with Big Creek Lumber Company to prepare a timber harvest plan (THP) for 500 acres of working forest within the 8,500-acre CEMEX Redwoods property in Davenport.
The Amah Mutsun Tribal Band, First People of the region between San Francisco Bay and Monterey Bay, will protect 96 acres of important coastal land near Costanoa Lodge in Pescadero, California, with a conservation easement arranged by Sempervirens Fund.
Sempervirens Fund purchased 80 acres of redwood forest — the Butano Creek and Waterman Creek properties — from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. The properties consist of two 40-acre parcels in south San Mateo County that include tributaries to Butano Creek and Pescadero Creek

Two BLM-owned parcels near Big Basin, Butano and Castle Rock state parks included tributaries to Butano Creek and Pescadero Creek, were headed for the open market.
