Thank you for your interest in the Robert C. Kirkwood Entrance at Castle Rock State Park. Sempervirens Fund purchased the 33 acres — the site of a former Christmas tree farm — in 2010 with the goal of creating this state-of-the-art facility to welcome visitors and showcase the majesty of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Project partners California State Parks and Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks are renting and managing the facility until it can be transferred to State Parks.
