Lompico Volunteer Workday: 05/19/2019

When: Sunday, May 19, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Where: Sempervirens Fund’s Lompico property. Approximately 20 min. north of Felton. Meet at the Safeway parking lot and we will carpool to the property.

What: Located on the eastern edge of Loch Lomond Recreation Area, this area contains the headwaters of Lompico Creek, home to steelhead trout. Join us in removing French broom, periwinkle, and English ivy along the creek. 

Volunteers Needed: 30 

Activities: Participants will pull invasive weeds by hand or using basic hand tools. Work will be moderately strenuous and may take place on sloped and uneven terrain. All tools, gloves, and gear will be provided by Sempervirens Fund, but if you have your own equipment we suggest bringing it along. We recommend wearing long-sleeved shirts, pants, and durable hiking shoes. Please bring your own lunch and plenty of water. Some snacks and beverages will be provided.
